Collaborator in Turbulence

After studying music (classical percussion, jazz and improvised music) and science, Augustin Muller was trained at the Paris Conservatory (CNSMDP) graduating in 2010 with a degree in Higher Education for Sound Professionals. Specialized in computer music production, he has since worked in France and abroad with different artists and ensembles (le Balcon, l’Ensemble Intercontemporain, International Contemporary Ensemble, 2e2m, the Geneva Chamber Orchestra…) as well as for concerts and festivals (Manifesto IRCAM, Venice Musical Biennial, Musica, Berlioz Festival…).

Coming from a generation that is directly confronted with the question of interpretation of the mixed repertoire, he completed his master’s thesis at IRCAM on this subject. He has worked there regularly as part of concert, research and creative projects. Augustin has worked with many composers (M Levinas, P. Garcia- Velasquez, R.HP Platz, JP Carreño, L. Durupt, F. Bedrossian…), musicians and performers and is involved in several projects around sound diffusion, electronics and new technologies, such as with Le Balcon since 2008.

In 2014, he notably produced the electronic score and sound design for the Le Petit Prince opera by Michael Levinas based on St Exupéry’s work for the Opéra de Lausanne, the Lille Opera and the Châtelet Theater in Paris. A former student of the generative improvisation class at the CNSMDP, Augustin also works with many improvisers (ONCEIM & Stephen O’Malley, Frederic Blondy, Eve Risser, Jean-Luc Guionnet …) for recording projects and concerts alike (festival WEATHER, CRAK…).
