Performer in La Mort & l’Extase, Douve (Trio) and Douve, Renversée
Ariane Derain began contemporary dance at the CNR in Paris and continued her training at the CNSMDP from where she graduated in 2012. In 2011 she danced Sous Couvert by Serge Ricci and Fabien Almakiewicz, Cie Mid-October, then at the Junior Ballet she performed Noces by Angelin Preljocaj; Uprising by Hofesh Shechter and Quatre Ciels de Novembre by Thomas Lebrun. She then went to meet the Icelandic choreographer and singer Erna Ómarsdóttir, Cie Shalala, who transmitted her an excerpt from We Saw Monsters. She also performed Dissection d’un nuage from Michaël d’Auzon, Cie l’Instant. Ariane has been working since 2010 with Tatiana Julien, C’Interscribo, she is an interpreter in La Mort & L’Extase and Douve.
She is also a performer in Stimmlos by Arthur Pérole, Cie F. In addition to dancing, Ariane is training in aromatherapy and massage, she is also a yoga instructor. She works at SESSD (special education and home support service) in collaboration with a psychomotor therapist for children with motor disabilities.
